Dr. Kat Olson is a Marin native who attended elementary school, junior high, and high school (Go Bulldogs!) in San Rafael. She earned her bachelor’s degree in 2001 from U.C. Davis and her veterinary degree in 2005 at U.C. Davis as well. She obtained her certification in acupuncture from the Chi Institute after an acupuncture internship at San Francisco Veterinary Specialists in 2010. She has been a general practitioner in Marin since 2006. During her career, she has also provided emergency relief services in many hospitals throughout the bay area. In 2019, she completed the U.C. Davis Don Low Fellowship in Anesthesia at the U.C. Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital.
Kat enjoys spending her free time gardening on her hobby farm in Novato. She has to grow vegetables for her 100 pound sulcata tortoise named Hank and care for her goats, miniature horses, sheep, and chickens.
